2015 Official Itinerary

With exactly ten days to go until Santa Crawl Day (Saturday Dec 12th), it’s time to release the official itinerary.

Westbound Crawlers

• 8:00-9:00 – Kildare’s
• 9:00-10:00 – Lion’s Den, Primanti Bros
• 10:00-11:00 – Rotelli, Brewery, Tavern, ShandyGaff
• 11:00-12:00 – Mad Mex, Rathskellar, Darkhorse, Phyrst, Local Whiskey
• 12:00-2:00—Any and all of the above (or below)

Eastbound Crawlers

• 8:00-9:00 – Café 210
• 9:00-10:00 – Indigo
• 10:00-11:00 – Zeno’s, Pickle’s, Allen Street Grill, Champs Downtown
• 11:00-12:00 – Mad Mex, Rathskellar, Darkhorse, Phyrst, Local Whiskey
• 12:00-2:00—Any and all of the above

For experienced Crawlers, this should look remarkably similar to last year’s, the only difference being that Primanti Bros replaces Levels.  Then again, since Levels was filling in for the closed Gingerbread Man, we’ve, in effect, gone back to our traditional schedule.

One thing might turn out differently though.  I expect a significant increase in attendance this year.   That has a potential to cause two issues.

First, if everyone arrives at the start at the same time, things could get backed up buying wristbands.  In order to ensure that doesn’t happen, we’ll be selling wristbands at a few downtown locations all next week (specific details will follow in the next couple of days).  I would encourage people to pick theirs up ahead of time.

Secondly, we just might get so big that we’ll overrun the pubs during their scheduled hour.  So if you show up at a bar and it’s filled to capacity, just get an early start on the next time shot.  I alerted each of the establishments that people are likely to show up as much as an hour early (note the time slot that looks the most problematic is the 10-11 one on both ends of town – my suggestion would be if you show up and Rotelli, the Brewery, the Tavern, and the Gaff or Zeno’s, Pickle’s, and the Grill, and they are all full, sneak up to Mad Mex.  They have lots of space and typically would have room at that hour).
