While the offical wrist band that gains you entry into the pubs will still be a Tyvek event band, we are going to also provide every contributor (or at least until my supply of 600 runs out) with a Livestrong like souvenir silicon wristband.
As a reminder, the event wrist bands are what gets you into the bar without paying a cover. It is important that you wear that one. The red silicon wrist band is a souvenir, you need not wear it and can just stick it in your pocket if you prefer.
Also, the cost of producing the wristbands has been picked up by the event organizers so that every dollar, no every penny, of your contribution will go to the Pat Boland fund. We have no organizational overhead costs. Every cost involved has been covered by an organizer or sponsor.
Also, you are not required to purchase a wrist band to participate. If for some reason, you are only stopping by briefly and prefer not to contribute to the fund, you can simply pay the cover charge at any bar you go to.
If you are not going to be with us at the start, you will still have multiple options to buy a wristband. During the Crawl, they will be sold at Kildare’s, the GMan, Rotelli, Allen Street Grill, and Cafe 210. At not point should you ever be further than about a half block from one of the selling locations.
Plus, if you want to avoid the potential of a small back up at the very beginning of the Crawl, you can purchase wristbands ahead of time, starting Thursday at noon, at the front desk of the Hotel State College (upstairs above the Corner Room).
