The NY Times today posted an op-ed piece story about New York City’s SantaCon event, suggesting that things have gotten out of hand and that the SantaCon event should be shut down. To their credit, some SantaCon event organizers are trying to tone things down a bit.
Here in State College, we Crawlers have always been out ahead of the curve trying to rein in any unruly behavior before it escalates. We don’t want the Crawl to turn into another State Patty’s Day. We believe you can have an adult event in downtown State College that includes alcohol without it degenerating into something irresponsible. Let’s lead by example and show the State Patty Day crowd how to conduct themselves.
So come tomorrow, party hard, but party wisely. Don’t be these guys.
