We’re going to change things up a little bit this year.
Philosophically, it will still be the same concept. A party that starts at both ends of town and moves toward the middle. The official start will still be Dec 10th, 2016 at 8:00 o’clock in the evening at Primanti Bros on the east end of town and at Cafe 210 on the west end of town. And we’ll still have pre-Crawl Happy Hour parties at both spots beginning at 6:00 pm.
It’s after that where things will get a bit different.
Come 9:00 pm, it’s going to be more of a Santa Swarm than it will be a Santa Crawl. The sheer number of participants that we now have pretty much precludes any organized travel from one pub (or group of pubs) to another. At 9 pm, it’s every man and pub for him or itself. Just head to whichever bar on the list you prefer. I expect people to fan out from the starting points all over town. I want to be able to walk up and down the streets of State College and just see a sea of red Saturday night.

There is at least one thing that you should keep in mind though. If you want to be in the official 2016 Santa Crawl photo, be sure to make it to Indigo by 9:45. We’ll take the picture shortly after that. Otherwise, you’re on your own.
