We’re pleased to announce that the Santa Crawl will be pairing with LeftRightRepeat to host a 5K Charity Walk/Run called “Run Rudolph Run” through the borough of State College the morning of the Santa Crawl (December 12th, 2015). This race will provide another avenue of opportunity for folk who would like to participate in the Santa Crawl fund raising but who have not yet turned 21 or who just don’t enjoy the State College bar scene. The course is an out and back route beginning and ending at the State College Municipal Building in the 200 block of Allen Street. Registration opens at 7:30 am, race start is 9 am.
Our hope is that “Run Rudolph Run” participants will throw themselves into the costuming part of the event with as much enthusiasm as the Santa Crawlers have. We also plan on making this an annual event just like the Santa Crawl. There is a distinct possibility that this could eventually grow to be even bigger than the Crawl itself.
Runners who sign up for both “Run Rudolph Run” and the Santa Crawl will receive a $5 discount on the Santa Crawl wristbands.
The race will also provide us with an alternate vehicle for distributing wristbands. Registration for “Run Rudolph Run” is being handled by EventBrite and there is an option on their registration page to just sign up for the Santa Crawl. Keep in mind though, that should you choose that avenue, you MUST pick up your wristband at the registration table at the Municipal building the morning of the race
Proceeds from the event will be split between the Centre County Youth Services Borough Christmas Crusade and our usual partner, the Pat Boland Memorial Internship Award.
