Who you ask? Unless you closely follow the State College bar scene, you might have missed the closing of Indigo this past summer. Just after Arts Fest, the Hotel State College announced the closing of the popular dance club. Fortunately, it was just temporary as the location underwent a rebranding and reopened for the fall semester as The Basement Nightspot.
A quick inspection of the new establishment shows that things have been opened up a bit making the subterranean environment a bit more brighter. It still has a dance club atmosphere but the addition of considerable chrome and a bunch of TVs makes it seem even more livelier.
The really good news is that the former Indigo management team remains in place and they have promised to provide the Santa Crawl with the same wonderful experience that they have in the past.
Specifically, that means that they will once again be opening their doors up early at 8:30 just for the Santa Crawl. Also, if you want to make the Crawl your first stop of the night, they will be selling wristbands, so you can get yours there.
But maybe, most importantly, they will once again be providing a staff photographer to document the event and capture our now legendary official Santa Crawl group photo. The picture will be taken at 10 pm sharp, so if you want to be included, it’s best if you are inside the doors by 9:45.
